Heart Attack Warning Signals

Most heart attacks start slowly with mild discomfort or pain. Here are a few signs that can mean you are having a heart attack:

Chest Discomfort – Most heart attacks involve some discomfort in the center of the chest that last more than a few minutes.

Upper Body Discomfort – Pain or discomfort in other areas of the upper body (arms, back, neck, jaw, or stomach).

Shortness of Breath – This feeling comes often with chest discomfort but it can happen by itself.

Other signs: Breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea, or lightheadedness.

If you have any of the above symptoms, call 911 right away or get to the hospital right away.
