You can market your ass off, but if your product sucks, you’re dead. — Gary Vaynerchuk

Media like the 3 C’s: celebrities, crime, and catastrophe. Too bad they don’t care for real people making real change.

With a little feedback from authors on Facebook and Google+, here’s my amended bio: Book marketing expert John Kremer is the author of 1001 Ways to Market Your Books, mentor to authors who have sold over a billion books, and founder of the Billion Book Initiative to help the next generation of book authors sell another billion books. Over the past 30 years, he has helped thousands of authors, both major celebrities and those just starting out.

Going to the library gives people the same kick as getting a $2,282 raise according to a study by UK’s Dept for Culture, Media & Sport: http://bookmarketingbestsellers.com/going-to-the-library-gives-a-big-kick.

The Game of Thrones and Social Media Blockades

Now here is a clever way to get people’s attention: Associate the popular TV series Game of Thrones with your solution to the social media blockades instituted by Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

In recent months, some of the biggest houses in the social media realm have quietly butted heads and blocked access between one another. Unfortunately these walls aren’t built to protect the citizens. While wars rage on behind the scenes, the users of these paths are beginning to find their favorite networks a lot less accessible, and a lot less social.

But HootSuite offers a solution. Check it out.
