    Americans spend more than 100,000 years every month on Facebook.

    3. Generate smooth-flowing prose that at times has a cadence.

    4. Be accurate at all times.

    5. Write prose that is easy to understand. Don’t make your reader struggle.

    6. Try to keep sentences fairly short with a single meaning.

    7. Stress substance and significance. Don’t waste your reader’s time.

    8. It helps if your book is timeless.
